Provide direct aid to those most in need!

Our Migrant Solidarity Fund addresses the most urgent needs of the migrant community. Right now, there is a growing demand for diapers, wipes, and baby formula to support young families trapped at the border.

Donations support refugees stuck at the border, community members who have been deported to Tijuana, families who were separated at the border, and migrants newly released from detention. Providing legal assistance is often not enough; Al Otro Lado invites you to stand in solidarity with migrant communities on both sides of the border by providing the resources they need to survive and thrive.

Your donations will go towards critical needs such as:

Empowering asylum-seeking families with newborns trapped at the border with parenting and childhood development classes as well as supplying them with diapers, formula, and wipes.

Supporting our post-release efforts when a client is released from detention by providing housing, clothing, hygiene supplies, quarantine housing, PPE and transportation.

Providing phones with data plans to immigrants recently released from ICE detention, homeless immigrants, and others, which act as lifelines allowing our clients to connect with legal and social services including job placement.

Buying grocery cards for our clients so that they don’t have to choose between food and other vital needs.

Providing short-term housing to clients recently released from detention and medically vulnerable families so that they may safely quarantine and practice social distancing.

Providing short-term rent assistance to clients that have lost their jobs due to Covid-19 or are on the brink of experiencing houselessness.

Paying for critical medical care and surgery for clients that suffer from debilitating health conditions.

Providing our houseless clients, many of whom live with disabilities and are domestic violence survivors, with access to solar showers, hygiene kits, clothing, and food.

The Migrant Solidarity Fund will also cover unexpected expenses due to unforeseen humanitarian impacts of the ongoing pandemic and natural disasters. The most vulnerable communities suffer the most, yet get the least help.

Your donations go directly to supporting our client's most critical needs as they continue to be disproportionately impacted by unjust immigration policies. This is about solidarity, not charity. Thank you for your partnership in helping to meet these immediate needs.
