Hi family and friends, I am here in Tijuana working with Al Otro Lado where we are doing everything we can to protect the rights of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border. The community we serve includes deported persons separated from their families by inhumane immigration policies, and refugee families fleeing for their lives.
For the past several months I have been helping to coordinate the most extraordinary group of volunteers—lawyers, legal assistants, law students, medics, cooks, social workers—as you donate your time, passion, and energy towards insisting on human dignity at every moment.
Your generous donations allowus to grow and sustain a pro bono and volunteer program that is dramatically increasing the number of at-risk individuals and families, including unaccompanied children, LGBTQIA refugees, and migrants with serious medical conditions, and recent deportees to Mexico that Al Otro Lado serves.
