Families belong together
Remember in 2018, when Border Patrol separated thousands of refugee kids from their parents, deported the parents back to their home countries, while keeping the kids in the United States? Well, believe it or not, six years later, there are hundreds of families who still have not yet been reunified.
Since 2018, Al Otro Lado has reunified over 100 refugee families ripped apart by Trump’s “Zero Tolerance” policy. But that’s not all we do. Once reunited, we help each family find legal representation, housing, and the counseling that they need in order to heal and get on their feet.
At Al Otro Lado, we are doing everything we can to protect the rights of migrants fleeing for their lives, deported persons separated from their families by inhumane immigration policies, and undocumented individuals who are at risk of family separation. We cannot do this alone- we need your help!
